Notes: One of their top five albums. This is more of a concept album...sort of. Side 2 (Side Black) is all one long song with many moods. After Ogre Battle, it never really stops. May's singing adds a nice texture, different than Mercury's and not quite as strong, but still nice. Ogre Battle is a serious rocker of a song. March of the Black Queen runs the gamut of styles, running through just about every major genre except jazz. Stylistically, Queen II is not as diverse as later albums, but its concept nature necessitates a sharper consistency.
