Peninsula Expressway: Merritt Boulevard to Sparrows Point

Peninsula Expressway was designed as a 4-lane toll road that connects Dundalk and Sparrows Point in southeastern Baltimore County. We surveyed and designed the 1,200 foot long bridge over Bear Creek, (which includes a bascule span), the 1.2 mile long approach roadway on the western side of the bridge and the toll facilities. Serving as advisor to the Revenue Authority, we also assisted in securing bond financing for the project, and provided both construction inspection and periodic inspection of the bridge after construction.
