Make Appleton Mfg Division your one-stop parts and service source. We provide parts and service for Appleton Core Cutters dating back to 1950. This includes Appleton Cutters sold under the “Holzem” and “Menasha” tradenames.

We’ll help you get the right part

We know the parts on your machine. All machines built since 1988 are documented via “as built” bills of material in our electronic manufacturing database. Our on-line rasterized drawing database is used to research equipment built prior to 1987, our CAD database contains drawings for later machines.  With your model and serial number  we can identify and duplicate most components.

For your convenience in identifying parts for pre-1985 designs we developed “Parts-Fax”. You tell us the model, serial number and area of the machine needing parts. We fax you an exploded illustration of that area with current part numbers for the parts that make up that assembly. Mark your requirements and fax it back for quote or ordering.

Wear Parts

We carry an inventory that includes most parts that normally wear out in service. This permits us to get orders that arrive by 2:30pm (Central Time Zone) out that same day. Many custom sized components can be made and shipped next day. Your Appleton Customer Representative can provide you with the lead time on request.

Retro-Kits

When vended components are no longer available due to technology change or vendor consolidation, we try to develop retro-kits that provide the same function using different components. Another Appleton service to help you keep your core cutter on-line.

·         Computer Motion Control Kits - conversions for P500 and P600 Programmable Core Cutters that replace motion control components no longer manufactured by our suppliers. The new drives add years of service life to your cutter while enhancing performance and program features.

·         PLC Motion Control Kits - complete control packages that replace early computer / stepper motion controls with PLC / servo based systems with enhanced performance and program features.

Upgrade Kits

Advances in guarding and controls are part of our service. These kits improve safety and ergonomic issues or additional capabilities. Kits include the necessary parts and instructions for the upgrade. Some of the Upgrades currently available:

·         Enhanced knife guarding for Appleton models “D”, “BI and “S” core cutters.

·         Cut off conversion for Model “S” cutter. This removes the manually powered knife, replacing it with pneumatic knife actuation. The conversion also provides current double guarded knife protection for your operators.

·         AutoIndexing Knife Kits extend knife life and ensure cut quality by indexing the knife blade when an operator input number of cuts have been made. Operator safety is improved as the blade is touched only to replace it after 34 cutting positions have been expended. Available for most Appleton Cutters.
