Asian Development Bank selected K&M as the primary consulting
engineer to the Government of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Power
Board to implement the Meghnaghat 300-450 MW natural gas fired,
combined cycle power project on either a Build-Own-Operate (BOO)
or Build-Own-Transfer (BOT) basis.
K&M, as the primary consulting engineer for this pioneering
project, is responsible for all technical, procurement, commercial,
financial, and legal aspects of this project.
Specific assignments for this project range from assessment
of the project’s feasibility and power sector institutional
and regulatory framework to managing the international tendering
process, deal structuring, developing security package and project
agreements, project financing and determining adequate tariff
levels.
