On those days that leave you asking, "Why am I doing this?", take 15 or 30 minutes and ground yourself in the original vision that motivated you to take the leap. If your vision has evolved, Worried that your overwhelming to-do list won't allow you the time to take a pause? Well, hear this. You have the time. Youre the boss, remember? Remind yourself right now that you run your business, your business doesnt run you. (Go ahead, say it.) In addition, being stressed and chaotic is much less efficient than taking 30 minutes to ground yourself so your focus and motivation is clear. So hold your calls, shut your door (or find a coffee shop or a bench outside) and take a few minutes to jot some notes on the following: Tip: Ask yourself a few questions: What made you start your business in the first place? Starting with answers to these questions, begin to make whatever changes are necessary to move toward the vision you're most passionate about. Even if you see a lot of ground between your vision and your business right now, you can begin planting seeds immediately.
