What to do when you're in FrederickFrederick is a wonderful "small town outside a big city"' and we encourage you to take advantage of it's charm. Since Frederick is not yet on sidewalk.com, we hope the combination of personal recommendations and visitor information will be helpful. The restaurant list is tried and true. If you select a restaurant in the first three categories, we highly recommend calling for a reservation serveral weeks before you visit. In addition to your eating adventures, there are planty of activities if you arrive early or extend your stay. Take a look! Park in the garage on church street (just off Market) walk up to East Street, check out the stores on East, walk up to Patrick, make a right, check out Carroll St., then walk up Patrick to Market, take a left for a few blocks, turn around, walk up Market the other way. Side streets have cute stores too! New Market, about 10 minutes away, is also great antiqing. Cactoctin Colorfest in Thurmont, MD (Oct 9-10)A popular annual crafts and art festival. Hey, don't go on the 9th! Circuit HikesIt's the perfect time of year! Try Sugar Loaf Mountain (8.1 miles), Maryland Heights in Harper Ferry (4.6 miles), Wolf-Chimney Rocks (8.7 miles), Cat Rock (4.4 miles). Call Danielle, I'll fax you a map.
