| Notes for Sarah Ann Brooksbank |
There is some conjecture in offering this name as William Colcroft's second wife.
1) There is a William Colcroft from Bradford (same area as Stanningsly) listed as being married in 1884 in the England/Wales Civil Registration Index. A Sarah Ann Brooksbank is listed as being on the same page, no other info available at this time.
2) A William Colcroft and and a Sarah Ann Colcroft are buried at Bramsly Baptist Church in a plot purchased by William Colcroft of Stanningly in 1891.
3) George William Colcroft, the athlete son of William COlcroft (who Bob Beyer remembers seeing clippings of as a child) is buried at the same church.
So my guess is that Sarah Ann Brooksbank is William Colcroft's second wife, and that Sarah Alice Brooksbank (buried with them) is a second child of that marraige. |
