We
surveyed and designed seven miles of the 22 mile long portion
of I-95 between the Washington and Baltimore beltways, including
major interchanges at MD 212 and MD 198. Opened in 1971 as an
alternate route to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, the 8-lane
I-95 initially carried about 31,000 vehicles per day; by 1998
that had increased to 165,000, with no significant changes to
the roadway during that 27 year period.
Our
services included surveys and design of the highway, bridges,
and roadway lighting and signing.
