James Logan died at his home, 1915 Fourth Avenue at 3:30 this morningof general debility. He has been a sufferer from rheumatic troubles for years, and this, with a complication of diseases caused his death. He as born in Pennsylvania, May 15, 1811, was a tanner by trade and has been a resident of Rock Island since 1861. With his aged wife are left six children18

According to Beverly Thornton's Logan genealogy, James Ambrose Logan was the Sheriff of Wabash, Indiana.18
In 1850, James Logan lived in Wabash Indiania, Noble Township, with his family. There were also two young boys named "Grant" who lived with the family. Logan's occupation is listed as "Farmer, " and his birthplace as Pa. His land is valued at 1100 dollars. 20 |
