Many of these events have been in conjunction with a range of conference production companies. Roy is booked repeatedly by these companies because conference producers know they can rely on him to deliver exactly what is needed to satisfy their clients' brief.

Many of the facilitation/interviewing jobs involved becoming an integral part of the production team attending briefing sessions and coaching executives. For some, Roy attended the initial pitch for the business and on more than one occasion directly helped the production company secure that business.

2) Presented a VIP conference (the 150 members of audience were HP’s most important global customers representing an annual buying power of approximately $28 BILLION!! Interviewed the guest speaker - Nicholas Negroponti, Head of the Media Lab at the Massachusett’s Institute of Technology (MIT).

Hewlett-Packard Test & Measurement, 
Conducted a one day sales conference dressed as a football referee. My job involved giving all participants a hard time. Dished out red and yellow cards at will, publicly humiliating anyone who even thought of stepping out of line. Then led an awards ceremony in the evening. A wild day – enjoyed by all!
ICL Retail, 
Chaired and facilitated a large scale ‘kick off’ event. Involved interviewing key executives and conducting an ‘open forum’ discussion.
Innovex UK Ltd
1) Presented and interviewed senior executives for a large scale internal conference. Held at Teddington Studios for over 400 staff. Hosted a CRAZY afternoon of interactive, ‘Noel’s House Party’ style segments – unrehearsed and hilarious. The afternoon included staged battles with chainsaw wielding ‘bikers’, ice cream making demonstrations, Gladiators style challenges involving audience members. A FAB and WACKY day.

2) Keynote speaker – Network to Win - for 550 sales representatives held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Followed by a role as moderator for a 45 minute open forum discussion.

Chaired a top level meeting of 100 most senior global executives. Included an unrehearsed and confrontational interview with GEC CEO George Simpson – who at one point remarked "Roy, you’re an unguided missile – I don’t know where you’re going to land next." Final 30 minutes devoted to a personal summary and feedback to these executives of Roy’s candid and at times blunt observations about the way they conducted themselves during the two day event in their break out sessions and workshops. Event described by client as ‘brilliant’.

NHS Alliance
Chaired their first conference. Speakers included Alan Milburn Minister for Health and Claire Rayner.
Price Waterhouse Corporate Finance & 
Corporate Recovery, 
Guest speaker at a meeting of 350 senior partners. The conference theme was about ‘Building the Future’. Delivered 4 twenty minute talks designed to provoke audience members to think outside their comfort zones and think the unthinkable.
Price Waterhouse Management Consultancy, 
1) Chaired a highly charged ‘open forum’ discussion in Amsterdam in the lead up to the combining of the US and European Practices for 150 senior partners.

2) Brought in 6 weeks before the proposed merger with Coopers and Lybrand to chair a discussion with an audience of approximately 400 of PW’s most senior partners. At this meeting there was a great deal at stake. If the audience members did not approve of the proposed merger, they had the legal right to ‘opt-out’. The merger went ahead 6 weeks later with the approval of these key people. Roy’s brief was to be VERY confrontational with the two panellists. He was! One remarked afterwards that it was the first time he’d ever generated sympathy from his colleagues!

Open Market,
Gave approximately 50 presentations at an Internet Exhibition in London for the US company Open Market on how their software enabled e-commerce.
Rover Cars, 
Played host and MC at the Rover Cup Golf Final at La Manga, Spain for 3 consecutive years with golfing legend Tony Jacklin.

1) Presented countless staff internal communications videos over a 4 year period.

2) Presented J Sainsbury’s first business television programme. A resounding success and led to a large scale roll out of the programme. Interviewed David Sainsbury and the rest of the main board.

Unilever 
Presented the live opening of a new £40 million research and development laboratory at Port Sunlight in Cheshire. Outside, live audience of 1000. Involved presenting and holding together a complex series of video feeds to and from a second location. Opened by a Cabinet Minister and the Chairman of Unilever.

1) Presented countless internal video communications programmes over a 6 year period. Involved interviewing executives such as Group Chief Executive John Neill and location reporting from various factories and production lines.

2) Presented a number of live events/conferences.

Moderated the 1999 Sales Kick Off for the CS Division in London. This involved meeting senior executives before the conference.

Vebacom, 
Presented a series of interactive live and ‘by satellite’ technology demonstrations at Telecom 95 in Geneva over a period of 9 days. Exhausting and highly demanding. Wrote many of the scripts whilst holed up in a mountain resort in the French Alps. Hey, somebody HAD to do it!!
