Labor Mediation Takes an International Look

The mediation of labor disputes worldwide will be the focus Monday and Tuesday, September 2 and 3, in Washington, D.C. as leaders from sixteen of the world’s twenty national labor mediation agencies meet in the first-ever World Labor Mediation Summit, convened by John Calhoun Wells, Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The summit precedes FMCS’s 50th Anniversary National Symposium, which follows on Tuesday afternoon.
