The Writer's Almanac is five minutes of poetry and history hosted by writer and radio personality, Garrison Keillor. A sanctuary of words and wisdom amidst a world running at top speed, The Writer's Almanac inspires listeners to pause for poetry. Like an old friend stopped in for a chat and a cup of tea, Garrison Keillor makes The Writer's Almanac a welcome respite in your hustle bustle day.

WEEKDAYS, 8:30 am
Garrison Keillor
Keillor was once described to as someone "with a face made for radio". The person making the comment was wearing a beard, and speaking from a pulpit. Keillor wears his Minnesota heart on his sleeve, which makes his stories honest explorations of very human emotions - even if they are expressed by Lutherans. I truly think that Keillor is the most important contemporary humorist in the USA.
