The Politics of Love - In Black and White

Few sights spark smoldering racial tensions like a black and white couple strolling arm in arm. The Politics of Love is the first documentary to confront inter-racial romance on America's turbulent college campuses.

Mixed couples testify to the joys and strengths as well as the pain and anxiety of their relationships. At the same time black and white students opposed to interracial dating argue the personal and political implications of mixed relationships in today's America. The film's two directors - one black, one white - uncover unspoken community norms and submerged issues of identity, while sharing useful "survival" tips for today's students.
